Myria padded towards the lake, her mind on the young pups who had seemed to ignore her orders.
Am I not an authority figure here? Perhaps because no one has seen me fight yet? Myria shook her head. Ranks below Beta have to follow orders...regardless of whether they know of their superior's capabilities or not. I think I need to speak with them, and perhaps Revera. Myria sighed before she bent her head to the water to lap some up. From the corner of her eye, she noticed a figure on the far side of the lake.
Another wolf? I didn't realize it was "rogue migration season". The Beta watched the wolf, her liquid amber eyes studying him from afar.

Myria flattened her ears in slight agitation before replying.
You're in Shadow Keeper territory. I am a Beta of this pack. State your business here. Myria replied.

Myria blinked. She stealthily moved through the woods, for she knew he wasn't sure of her exact location. She had earned her nickname in her old pack; her movements were almost completely silent, despite the leaf litter. Myria ensured to spread the pads of her paws, distributing her weight evenly with each move. She decided to not completely startle this strange male, so she emerged behind him, but gave him enough space.
Your mate, and father? Blood should never harm blood, and as for your mate...I find it hard to believe that the wolf you decide to spend your life with would harm you. The beta kept her voice soft, but she knew he had heard.

Tell me, what is your name? I am known as Myria. The timber wolf questioned as she settled herself on her haunches.

Well, come along then. I can give you temporary shelter, and my alpha will ultimately decide whether or not you will be accepted to the pack.
With that, the grey beta got up and began walking, indicating for the male wolf to follow.

(godding) The doe charged through the bank of the lake trying to flee the snapping jaws of the white wolf behind her.

(godding) The doe's breath billowed around her fleshy nose. She could smell more wolves, many more. Desperately she charged down the ravine past the lake.
I knew one was here.
