Myria could see that Balor was anxious. I suppose I can't blame him...when was the last time he saw his brother? And for all those years, he believed Kiba was gone...In truth, I would like to see how Kiba is doing...perhaps I should...besides, it's not particularly safe to be out here. Despite the shrubs, I would be exposed for Alpha-know's-how-long...
Shaking her pelt, the grey wolf padded next to Balor.
I suppose I should go with you. You would likely get lost on the way up, then I would need to explain to Kiba how you were brought home to him, and ended up becoming an ice rock on my watch. She padded up the slope a ways before glancing over her shoulder.
I would advise you to move, unless your paws have become frozen to that spot. She smiled wryly at him through her bark.

The black male prinked an ear in surprise as the gray white female came up beside him. Instantly his heart was that much more settled. He watched her move up the slope toward the peaks with a grin only to find that he was standing there like an idiot. With a chottled chuckle he bounded up to meet her. "You know if you get cold I'm right here to..." He eyed her up and down with an arrogant smirk. "Keep you warm."

The beta paused with one paw in the air.
Remind me again how you are related to Kiba? And thank you, but no thanks. My fur is plenty warm. She stated dryly while she continued walking. Myria made sure to spray crumbling snow from her steps down towards him.
Oops, did I do that? she mused with an internal chuckle.

"Sometimes I wonder that myself Miss Mimi." He barked dodging the crumbling snow and jumping the icy rocks until he was infront of her. When he landed where he wanted her turned cutting her off. "He was always the sweet one. Dad loved him. I tried but really size and my charming looks is about all I got going for me." He barked with a laugh and a wink.

Myria paused when Balor cut her off, his fur billowing in the wind.
Ah, so you were the black sheep in the family. Tsk, Kiba was the golden son. I think you've disappointed the pack, Balor...and after all of those engaging stories Kiba would tell Luna and Balo. Her ear flicked as the wind whistled by, bringing a snow cloud with it. She turned and began walking again, her back to the wind as she brushed by the massive male.
Raising her muzzle, she scented the wind. Damn, all I'm getting is wind, water and rock with snow. No trace of Kiba...I really hope he's up here.

Balor flinched as if she'd actually struck him but she didn't seem to notice. Her words had cut to the core. Zeus was in his minds eye now. His deep black father gazing down on him from his nightmares. Never good enough. Never understood the warriors way.
The ex alpha winced and fell silent as the sound of his self loathing berrated the tiny Balor inside into a corner. The pup inside him shivered and snarled but didn't do anything to protect his sensitive skin.
When he opened his eyes fully again his playfull arrogance had fled to the efficient wolf he had forced himself to be for his pack. He'd find Kiba. He knew he would.

Myria glanced over her shoulder, wondering why Balor had stopped.
Is something wrong? Come one now, don't dawdle. If you become a straggler, you can get lost up here. I'm sure Kiba will be pleased to see you. Get a move on! She barked teasingly as she waited.
Did I say something wrong? Maybe that was the wrong thing to tease about...

Balor trotted on silently. The wind slicing through his fur with the chill. He growled a little to himself finding that he was almost to the peak. He'd moved ahead of Mimi without noticing and now he stood gazing down at her from above. "You were saying."

I guess those long legs of yours are useful in snow. Well, we can see the summit from here. Are you ready to be reunited with Kiba? she questioned, slightly concerned that something would go wrong.

The old wolf winced at her question feeling his apprehension like ice in his veins. " I don't know." He whispered under his breath. His blue green eyes misted over a little as he looked up the last part of the summit. His breath crackled as it left his lips. This was it. The moment he'd never thought would happen again not unless the moon trail was under his paws. "I wonder... if he's ready to see me."

I think he's been prepared for quite some time. Did you...want me to go first? Just...in case... she trailed off, feeling silly but unable to take her words back.

Balor smiled a little and turned to her. "No, thank you Lovely but he's my brother. This is my responsibility." The black wolf's eyes glimmered a little as he turned toward the summit and chased the ghosts til the last moment and his paws hit level ground.
Another black wolf was there, half covered in snow from lack of movement. Balor's eyes grew wide at the sight of his baby brother. "Kiba." He whispered stepping forward catuiously. "Kiba?" He barked a little louder begging the black wolf to look up. To respond and break this reaccuring nightmare.

The wind howled slightly against her ears, but Myria made her way slowly to the summit. Once the ground plateaued, Myria saw Kiba, his black fur almost covered in snow. Feeling like she was intruding, Myria settled at the edge and turned her face towards the mountain's base, eyes pretending to survey the terrain.
At least the wind here muffles their voices...I can barely hear them. I hope Kiba is alright...Please Balor, get through to him! The beta let a small prayer float to Alpha and Beta as she waited, her fur ruffling to keep her warm.

Kiba shivered though it had nothing to do with the cold. In his mind he saw Rayne's celestial eyes looking at him lovingly. Her pelt that so matched his own weaving through the trees. How he loved to watch her move.
The Rayne in his imagination turned and whispered, It's time to wake up my love. You have company.
Kiba snapped out of his dream when he heard a voice that in no way could be mistaken as female call out to him. Maybe it was Balo or Ky coming to check on him? Or this new male everyone was talking about.
The large black wolf turned his weary eyes to his side when he froze at the sight, B...brother?

Balor breathed a sigh of relief and grinned weakly. "Yeah. It's me. Oh Kiba what's happened to you?" He barked dropping beside his brother in the snow. He could feel the cold numbness on the black wolf's pelt. He was freezing. Balor used his muzzle to scrape the hard stuck snow off his brothers back and free his casings. "Kiba you've got to get up."
