It took a few minutes of digging and sniffing to find the fresh patch of wild grown mint. The female wolf sighed with happiness for there were very few things she loved more. Mint just had a way of soothing her to her core.
Rayne knelt down in the thicket, applying the mint leaves to her leg which stung with the movement. She stretched it out a bit, tentatively at first, trying to ignore the pain as best she could. She wished they were in more peaceful times so she could give her leg the proper ritual to heal, but war was brewing and she would sooner die then not protect her home and her family.
The female wolf rested her head on her paws thinking of some kind of plan to make their world safer.

Rayne lifted her head smelling the breeze, knowing that her mate was near.... Oh he isn't going to be happy with me..... She crossed her sleek front legs and waited for him to find her.

Bear threw his head high, hearing the yip of wolves. His giant nose breathed deep and he smiled wickedly. Wolf blood. His growl echoed in his chest to the surrounding forest. The wolves should know that death was coming for them. Especially the bleeding one...

Bears eyes flickered to the side and sees a black and white milling around like a lost pup. He snorted his nose and turned to follow the blood scent. This wolf was no danger to him.

Lykaios spots the bear and crouches down, she knew she had to make sure he didn't go anywhere near the den or the Ravine

Bear dragged himself slowly up a tumble of rocks and growled. He wished he still had his other eye. That black wolf would pay for what he'd done. The thick whiskers of the bear twitched as he sniffed. As luck would have the black wolf was here somewhere. On the same path as the blood! Bear increased his speed to find them.

Oh no you don't! Lykaios says to herself taking off after the bear. She will not let him go near Rayne or anyone of her pack mates.

Bear lumbered through the brush hardly caring about the black and white that followed him. The blood was close but where? His nose was being muddied by the dizzying scent of mint. He growled and smacked a tree in frustration. It's branches flying from the stalks and spinning toward the black and white.

Lykaios notices the tree branch and dodges it as quickly as possible. Even though she wasn't as fast as Rayne, dodging was one of her best

Bear snorted and dipped his nose to the ground. It was still blood smelling closer down on the ground then in the air. His lips rose revealing his set of wicked fangs. He shuffled closer to the bleeding wolf now easily following her.

Lykaios knew she had to get to the den before him, so she picked up her speed but careful enough so he wouldn't think/see where she was heading too

Bear smiled as the black and white ran off. It was better to be alone while hunting. He sniffed and followed the scent of blood to the Black wolf! He could see her huddled all alone with blood falling from her flanks. He growled deep and closed in on her. Watching the terror and helplessness play across her face. Heehee.

Lykaios sees the bear close in on the black wolf and jumps in front of the bear and says in between growls Don't. You. Dare
