Vikas walked forward, head up, ears alert. His mind was completely in business mode, though it had been for quite a while. There were two sides of the male, one who was going to survive no matter what and the other......
He looked behind him where Revera was dragging a little. Vikas looked towards the border, sighed and sat down, Revera, we need to talk.

Revera couldn't help but drag her paws a little with worry. There was so much occupying her mind. The monsters constant involvment in their lives. Little Star and Blitz's dangerous escapade. So much could go wrong.
She almost didn't hear her mate barking beside her until she nearly ran into him. Her golden eyes focused on his chocolate brown ones. She felt something was on his mind and sat beside him, letting their pelts touch. "What is it,Vikas?" She barked with a cock of her head.

Revera felt her heart flutter as he placed his head over hers. The warmth and softness of his gesture made her dizzy with happiness. "Vikas, you are the Morning, a glorious new dawn for us. I know you'll always be there." She licked his chin softly and nuzzled his cheek. "But thank you for thinking of me. It means so much." She felt her eyes watering as she let herself loosen up for the first time in a while. "Especially in light of everything we are facing. You make me smile, and that means the world to me."

Revera smiled shyly and nipped his ear. "How about instead we forget what we're thinking. At least for a moment." She barked, her golden eyes gleaming as she fell into a play bow. "Bet you can't catch me." She teased with a wag of her tail.

Vikas looked to the border and then thought, Avalon won't come until nightfall anyway.
He dipped down and growled playfully, I'll count to ten.....1......2....

Revera chuckled and rushed off out of sight, from there she let her scent trail and criss cross occasionally jumping into a tree and back down before finding a nice little hiding spot just as she heard Vikas bark "Ten."

Vikas watched her rush off, his tail wagging slightly at the sight of her sleek body disappearing into the trees, 3...4....9.....10!
He shot off through the bushes inhaling the scent of her which seemed to be everywhere. Revera had a distinct smell of spices that he would be able to find anywhere.
He stood on his hind legs and sniffed up a tree, You know it won't be any fair if you go up where I can't get you. He sniffed again and found that she had come back down and rushed off to the left. His eyes gleamed at her passage, Good girl.
Vikas closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, her scent leading him further in her direction.

Revera glanced around the wooden curve of her enclosure. Her bright eyes searching her mate out as the mossy scent hid her own. She couldn't hear his approach but somehow knew he was coming up. Silently she coiled her legs underneath her and waited for him to get closer.

Vikas was just about to pass her until he got a very strong whiff on the breeze and his eyes brought him to a tiny null in the trees. Smiling he stalked up behind her and slowly crept to see that he was just behind her, Boo

Revera yipped in surprise and whirrled around hitting her head on the brunt of the wood as she went. "Ouch. Hey I was gonna surprise you." She barked pawing her nose with a giggle.

Revera felt her eyes sparkle with mischief, and smiled before hopping from the null and taking off at a speedy run. "Good luck catching up!" She howled to the wind.

Vikas felt a charge of fire go off within him and he took off after her. He knew Revera was faster than him, but he wasn't giving up so quickly.
The dark male leapt over downed trees and tore through the brush trying to keep up with her.
