Frost jumped at the unexpected noise. The stench of Shadow blood was everywhere making it difficult for her to pinpoint exactly how many wolves there were.
She turned just as a large black female sprung out of the trees with a smaller grey female at her side. Baring her fangs, Frost growled, What is this?

Revera watched her betas surge forward and tensed her muscles. From her position she was behind the den and one brown wolf was looking her way. "Smart little cuss." The alpha growled "looks like your going down first. " The queen jumped from her hold like a flying squirrel to land among the shadows. From there she shot forward straight at the little female. Her razor fangs bared to take her down.

Rayne stared down the silver female whose size rivaled her own. By the way she moved, it was easy to see that this particular female was in charge. She hadn't heard of the King's having an alpha female, but even if not, this wolf was in some form of power.
Rayne started to circle, A lesson, that's what this is.

Frost stared the black female down, A lesson shall it be? This was a daring move on your part, attacking us here. But let me ask you this, are you so much of a coward that you will have two on one? I am not an elk or deer to be hunted. At least have the guts to fight me like a female.

Rayne stood taller, her thick tail swishing back and forth. While she was almost positive this wolf was trying to trap her, she couldn't pass up the chance for one great fight.
The beta spoke to Myria without breaking eye contact from Frost, Myria, go get Alira back. I've got this.

Frost watched the smaller beta depart before she began to circle the black female before her, You would be the one they call Rayne yes?I've heard of you.

Rayne kept stride with her circling, making sure to keep attention on the female's paws, Oh really? Do I have that much of a reputation?

Frost looked Rayne's ebony coat up and down, Oh yes, your reputation has reached even us. You are the demon wolf's mate yes? Rayne....the shadow walker, said to be able to move through the darkness as if she were darkness herself. Though all the stories I've heard about you involved your mate as well. I wonder, will you be able to provide adequate challenge by yourself? Or will you simply be just another weak female?

Rayne's blue eyes narrowed, So she knows how I fight. That takes away a bit of my surprise factor. Oh well, time to beat her the old fashioned way.
I suppose you will just have to find out. You know so much about me, I would say it is only fair to learn your name at least.

The silver wolf narrowed her trajectory a bit, I suppose so. My name is Frost. I am the main beta of this pack. And now, it's your time to die.
With that, Frost suddenly sprinted from her position, colliding with the black beta from the Shadow pack head on.

Rayne was surprised by her speed, but rose to meet her head on, nearly coughing at the power she put into her hit. Rayne dug her fangs into the beta's shoulder, snarling as she attempted to flip her to the side.

Frost nearly let out a yelp as the pain of Rayne's fang dug into her shoulder. She could feel the female trying to flip her to the side, but the silver wolf corrected, instead falling down so Rayne would flip to where she wanted instead.

Rayne felt her own weight being used against her and saw the ground rushing forward. In a quick movement, she extended her back legs making a post for her to push off of.
Muscles straining, the black female threw the silver wolf from her, traces of blood lingering in her jaws.

Both females stood, staring each other down. Frost had lost her normal icy disposition as her eyes gleamed, Again....
With that, she circled to the left and shot forward to try and snip out the black female's tendons.

Rayne watched her movements, her strategic mind breaking apart Frost's steps one by one. She could now see how the silver wolf's paws would turn at the last moment when she was ready to attack.
Inhaling sharply, Rayne moved at the same time Frost did only instead of taking her on, the black female ducked her head so that Frost almost leaped over her.
With Frost's stomach on top of her head, Rayne reared herself up, flipping her so that she landed on her back.
Taking the opportunity, Rayne flung her whole weight on the silver wolf's chest whispering, Fool me once....
