The frosty tips of winter were long gone. While it was still late in the summer, cold winds could already be felt from the northern borders of his land. Fall wasn't far from this corner of the infinite world that Nuka saw before him.
The black male stood on his flat rock on the highest accessible point of the mountain his pack lived on. The rolling hills of the nearby ranges and forests went on for eternity to the yellow-eyes wolf. Little trickles of water eventually turned into gushing river deltas at the base of the mountain, a day away from here.
Nuka stood here to clear his head sometimes. The view of the moon rising and falling, of the stars crossing the sky slowly, always fascinated the King. Sometimes, he wished he could reach up and sink his teeth into the night sky, keeping it from moving and claiming it for his own. Though the world was physical and tameable, the sky was still too far for the white-crested alpha to capture.
Frost should be here soon. The beastly wolf had set up his border patrol and hunting party before heading up here. Along the way out of camp, Frost was ordered to come to the Top and speak with Nuka. They had to set up plans for the attack on the Shadow Keepers, after all.

Frost smelled her alpha long before his presence came into sight. Nuka had a very distinct smell, like spices and musk, all with the underline power which was almost tangible in the breeze. She walked silently, her paws seemingly flowing into the soft dirt when she approached.
Nuka. Frost knew he never needed announcement of her presence, but the beta wolf gave it as a show of respect. She came to sit beside him, his giant frame casting a shadow upon her sleek body.
Frost's coat was so white it held an almost silver gleam to it whenever she moved and compared to the sheer darkness of her alpha, it was an interesting contrast.
She sat on her haunches and waited for orders.

The black and white duo were finally together. Nuka didn't turn to face her as she announced her presence, but instead merely flicked his tail. He had heard the crunch of small stones and dirt under the foot of the Beta wolf. From up here, Nuka felt as if he could hear and see everything in the world. Like some divine being that the tribes he chased out believed in.
"Our plan should be simple. I want a messenger to go to the ShadowKeeper's and tell them that we will fight a final battle on the fall solstice, on the edge of the mountain. Double-duty for training purposes and hunting to ready our soldiers, Frost. While they wait for the due date, have someone keep an eye on them. I want to know their every weakness in ten days' time."
The male turned to Frost slowly while speaking. His amber eyes looked at her white form with deep thought. "From that point, do what you wish to wear them down. Steal prey, guard the borders, lure a bear into their territory; ultimately, make sure they aren't as prepared as we are."

Frost absorbed the orders as if they were the breath that kept her alive. Nuka had a way about him, the kind that made her jaws water for battle. She ran through the pack list in her mind.
Is it possible her own plans could coincide with her alpha's? Frost kept the smile from reaching her face before she nodded, Consider it done, sir.
