Kovu turned his eyes on Revera. My pack despises anything new or stronger. They wanted the warriors to be all mated because then the strength of fight between mates are the strongest. But I had no mate and I was the strongest. From previous wolf traditions, it was stated that the strongest wolf would appear and try to change every thing they were taught. Unfortunately, because of my strength, they feared I was the one who would change everything. So my parents sent wolves after me to bring me down. I left after I injured one of the pack's best mated warriors.

Revera's eyes drew wide. Even the Were's of legend were not as foolish as this pack he spoke of. A warriors spirit was certainly strong and important but nothing compaired to talent. "I see." Revera barked with half lidded anger. Not at him but the fools he hailed from.
"Myria you're turn."

Kovu nodded and turned to Myria. He wondered when the questioning would end and he was free to walk around. Maybe he could bump into Kit....

Being a Lone is quite different from being part of a pack...you have begun to show you have some type of combination of brawn and brain...however, what else would you bring into our pack, if you are granted acceptance?
Myria paused.
By the way..I have noticed your slightly glazed eyes...your body posture also tells me you have other things on your mind...from my guess, it would be a certain young female. Being distracted can lead to problems, Kovu. Please focus until we are finished.. Myria reminded the younger wolf.

Kovu blinked a little at Myria's warning. Sorry. Kovu then thought about his answer. Well, I could help in moving injured wolves around. Kovu said, thinking briefly about the blue eyed she wolf before clearing his head. And I could help with patrols. I would fight with you against enemies. Anything is fine.

"I won't beat around the bush Kovu. I like you. You saved someone very important to me. You know the proper protocol and respect that I expect from all my warriors. You're strength a plus as is your lack of outside loyalty. But that is my problem with you." Revera paused to let her words sink in.
"If you wish to stay with us then I must know that we have your loyalty. Do you believe that if I let you stay that you could grow to love and protect us like we were your blood family?"

Rayne looked to her alpha, nodding her approval before her eyes fixed on Kovu, Exactly what I was wondering.

Myria nodded as well. It appears we were all thinking the same thing. Well, Kovu?

Kovu paused and thought about it. Should I join? Well, why not? I havent been in a pack for a long time... Kovu cleared his throat and bowed his head. I believe that it is possible. May the Alpha and Beta above have my throat if I betray this pack.

Rayne's blue eyes fixed on him, her teeth glittering slightly in the sunlight, Oh, it won't be Alpha or Beta to have your throat. Trust me, betray this pack and I will be the one to end you.
She stood and came close to the male wolf, her voice dropping, You may be strong, but I am stronger and have experience in the battlefield. Watch your back because I promise you I will break it if you cross us.
With that she turned towards Revera, It's up to you.

Revera smiled, pleased with how all of this was turning out. With her head and tail held high the alpha spoke. "Ky's judgement is being held so that he may prove he knows what it is to be in a pack such as ours. I will grant you the gesture. You will work with us, hunt with us and conduct yourself as a member of the pack. But you may not go off alone. A senior warrior or beta should know where you are at all times until your judgment has passed."
Revera looked to both her betas and swung her tail high. "Welcome to the pack Kovu."

Rayne nodded to her alpha before leaving. She smelled the air wondering where her daughter and Shadow had gotten. She hadn't seen them in quite a while.
Her instincts kicked in and something pulled her towards the forest where she hoped to catch their scents.

Kovu nodded and then stood up. Thank you, Alpha Revera. Shall I head off to the den now or something? He asked Revera quietly as Rayne moved away.

Revera watched her beta move away with a quizzically expression on her face. "Oh Yes we will show you the way. " The alpha barked moving off toward the mountain. "I hope you like climbing."
