Aria padded quietly after Argus. There was something in the wind of another wolf, but she didn't smell like a Keeper. "Looks like someone's been stealing prey. Good, it means their weakening."
She walked a little farther then dodged as a half crazed doe ran across her path with a white wolf in hot pursuit. It was amazing that they hadn't been spotted.
"They're even denser than I thought." She mumbled to the giant behind her.

Argus watched the white wolf bolt by and didn't give her a second glance, she was far to busy. Of course their dense, they actually think they can challenge Nuka and win. he kept pace with the tiny wolf before him. but his eyes wandered constantly, he was all seeing on this mission and nothing would escape his notice. so what is this promise i have to make?

"Not to tell Nuka."
Aria breathed a nervous sigh and motioned to the shade of a nearby tree. She didn't want anyone to see them here. "You know how the Keepers alpha is a tree wolf? Well I met one. She's really young but she's good at it. I thought she would have seen us and followed. That's why I wanted to go alone. Only Jade and I know she exists. So you can't tell Nuka or Frost alright?"
The young brown wolf implored the warrior with her light gold eyes. She probably shouldn't have spilled the news so soon, but she knew Argus wasn't as stupid as he pretended to be. He would know the importance of this.

Argus froze. a tree wolf? closing his eyes he thought quickly, This was a big choice. knowing about this little welp put himself, frost and sparrow at risk if they got caught. but he also knew Aria to be a smart wolf, and he did trust her instincts when it came down to it.... finally he opened his eyes
Frost would have my hide for this, let alone what Nuka will do to me. he looked hard at Aria. So this had better be a good plan, before you have my word not to tell no matter what, but i would like to at least meet the wolf i am protecting.

Aria felt her heart beat start to slow. She could live with that. As long as Nuka didn't know and Frost couldn't squeal everything would be fine.
"Well, I'm hoping she'll find us here. I set her up just on the edge between the two territorys where the lake fills in high tide. All she said was she needed a tree." The young wolf shrugged and smiled at Argus.
He might actually help. Maybe he'll help me fight train her. The spying is mine though.
"Her name is Spirit."

Spirit crept through the shadows silently, leaping from one branch to the next watching Aria and the male closely. She was nervous but she wanted to see Aria.
Spirit leapt down from her branch and approached the pair slowly.
She smiles softly. Aria, how nice to see you again

Aria stood proudly. "And like I said. This is Spirit, and Spirit this is Argus." She barked flicking an ear to the giant beside her.
"Were you following us the whole time?"

Spirit glanced nervously at the male before nodding at Aria.
Yes Aria I was. I got bored at the swamp area and decided to hunt for mice. I heard you talking and slipped into the trees She said proudly, glancing at the male again.

Aria walked around her charge, nudging each leg and the slope of her shoulders. "And we had no idea." She barked proudly eyeing Argus. "This little pup is our ticket into the enimies world! She moves like a squirrel through the trees. Her pelt is light enough for camoflauge on rocks for the mountain. And above all, she listens."
The brown wolf stopped her pacing and spared a wink to her young ward. "So you'll keep our secret until she's ready to be revealed?"

Spirit sat on her haunches and looked straight ahead. Her ears swiveling, listening to all the sounds around them.

Argus eyed the little wolf thinking and weighing his options, this little runt could be quite useful and they needed it. worse than many knew. finally he decided on his course of action. pledge your loyalty to us and the kings pack, do this and i swear i will protect this secret.

Spirit nodded her head in agreement and turned to look at Argus, standing up slowly. She lifted her head high and her tail.
I stand before you, Aria and Argus, and before the great creators Akilya and Kitaln, pledging my loyalty to you and to the Kings of Forest Pack. She said her voice proud and strong.
She sat down slowly and looked at Aria.
I do not know the names of the gods your pack worships, I recited the pledge my mother taught me before she died.

Aria nodded in agreement before her ears perked. What was that? A horrible howl of pain was tainting the wind.
"Guys listen." The brown wolf barked flicking her ears to catch the sound. Her mouth watered at the opportunity. "Something is happening with the Keepers. Who's in to check it out?"

"follow if you want Argus." Aria barked turning her ears to the sound of the cry. "Come on little sprite. Take to the trees. Lets track us a wounded."
With that the brown wolf marched to the source of the cry. Her small paws landed softly on the snow. With the wind to her face she moved on.
