Myria nodded at him.
Try again. the beta encouraged as she turned and took off. She rounded the corner easily, and saw the crossed logs ahead. They were covered in snow and ice, so Myria let her stride lengthen as she gained momentum. Contracting her legs, the female pushed off and lifted her front paws close to her chest. Her grey body easily cleared the logs, and she landed softly on the other side. She turned and waited a few paces away for Koda.

Koda took off again. This time he rounded the corner easily and saw the crossed logs up ahead. He felt himself pick up speed and leapt directly through the logs. He slowed a little bit so that he wouldn't run over Myria, and continued on. He rounded another turn (which was not as sharp as the first) and leapt over another log.

The female smiled before taking off after Koda. She bounded through the course, easily maneuvering around the bend in the trail and the other log up ahead.

Koda pricked his ears at the next jump. It was where three sticks had fallen into the shape of a triangle and it created like a hoop beside a tree. Koda skidded to a stop, not sure what to make of the jump.

Myria saw Koda slowing, and she immediately turned her body so as to avoid ramming into Koda.
The female looked ahead, only to see an odd branch formation in the path.
Odd...Chase could've jumped that since he had long legs...I however, am going to go through it. It looks just big enough. the grey wolf nodded before nipping playfully at Koda. She bolted forward and her mind began analyzing the best spot to begin her jump at. Once she leaped, she felt her fur brush against the top of the triangular jump. Luckily, she made it through without hitting anything.
Myria landed and moved out of the way, waiting for Koda. She panted slightly; the trail was longer than she thought and the obstacles seemed to be getting more difficult.

Koda took a few steps back and rushed forward. He leapt through the triangle as well, his ears brushing over the top. He, once again, rushed past Myria. His sharp eyes caught sight of another sharp turn and he slowed his pace. This time he rounded the turn with ease and found himself back at the beginning. He padded off a little ways and waited for Myria. His breath was coming in rapid gasps.

Myria noted that Koda was learning to turn better as she ran after him. Finally catching up to him, Myria sat down, her breath coming out in puffs in the cold evening air.
Good job! You're beginning to improve with your jumping and turning. That will assist you in being more controlled in battle. I think that's enough for today...since dusk is falling, I'm going to head back to the den. I've been gone a while...you can join me. We will resume training tomorrow if you feel up to it.

Koda hesitated. Um..... I guess I will. He said.

Don't worry, no one is going to eat you for deciding to respect that bear cub. It feels like tonight will be cold...it would be best to stay in the den. Smiling, Myria indicated for him to follow as she turned and padded back to the den.

Myria paused at the entrance of the course, waiting for Koda.
I want us to run this together. If one of us makes a mistake, we will help the other. If we don't make a jump, I want us to work on it until we both clear it. Given your run yesterday, so long as you mind the bends, you should be fine. When you're ready, let me know and I'll follow beside you.

Koda nodded and braced his muscles. Ready. He said before he took off.

Myria bolted after the male, her healing leg aching slightly. She slowly felt her muscles warming and she lengthened her gait, keeping up with Koda stride for stride.

Koda slowed his pace as he came around the first turn but stumbled a little bit when he tried to pick up speed again.

The female slowed and placed her nose under Koda's foreleg to steady him.
You're improving! You just need to remember where your paws are. The beta stated as she rounded the bend with the younger male.
