Myria made her way up the incline slowly, ensuring she didn't jostle Kit and cause her to fall off. She felt Revera walking beside her, and the beta smiled at her Alpha.
I'm sure she'll be alright...she just needs some rest and Miranda's herbs. How are you feeling? The beta questioned as they reached the den entrance.

Revera sneezed just as the question was asked. "I'm fine." She snuffled with all eyes on Kit. "I hope she's okay though. So many sick wolves in the pack. If we were attacked now... It wouldn't be pretty."
Her mind wandered down the mountain to the cave where Kovu was most likely resting. What would come of him?

We should get some herbs in you as well...you're snuffling sounds like you may catch cold. The beta advised. She entered the den and placed Kit on the cool floor, hoping it would relieve some of her fever.
Miranda? Kit fell into the lake...her fever seems to have spiked.

"I'm fine Myria!" The alpha snapped. Sudden anger steamed hot enough to roast her pelt. Miranda had enough on her plate without a clogged up alpha to deal with as well. A sneeze didn't matter!
Irritated the hot headed wolf helped Kit down inside the den. Her fur was still damp but she was warmer now. Anxiously she drew her tongue over Kit's sodden fur. The cold nip of her pelt stung the alpha's nose.
"We made it Kit. We're fine now." She murmurred. "We're fine now."

Myria blinked, slightly taken aback at her Alpha's sudden outburst. She's just worried about Kit, and Kiba...she's probably anxious about Kovu as well. Don't take it personally... The beta repeated her mantra a few times before simply nodding to Revera.
I apologize. I will be checking on Ky and Balo, before seeing if I can figure out where Chase and the other pups are. Excuse me. Myria told the den occupants. If you need me, I won't be far, and I will return shortly. With that, the beta departed.

Kit sighed, relaxing a bit when she felt Revera's tongue being drawn over her. Kit opened her bright blue eyes and looked up at Revera. "I'm fine. Really."Kit said, trying to soothe her worried alpha. She wondered how she was going to approach the conversation with Revera about being adopted. Atleast Kit's eyes no longer burned. Kit wondered about the new male she had seen and she wondered what happened to him.

Revera continued to warm the young wolf beside her. "You know you really worried me today." The alpha muttered cuddling closer. "You can't go off on your own like that Kit. what if I'd lost you?"
Her voice cracked as she spoke. Revera swallowed the chocking tears that were threatening. She was surrounded by her pack mates. They couldn't see their alpha cry.

Rayne had been curled up next to Kiba, protecting him from any threat which may be foolish enough to approach them. Her tail twitched as she waited for the water to return when she caught whiff of her other pack mates.
Her eyes turned to Kit who was being lowered to the floor and Revera doting over her. So many interesting scents wafted off of the two and Rayne had to struggle to catch them.
Something has happened..... Her eyes studied Revera sensing her irritation from her corner.

Ky and Balo huffed as they walked up the steep hillside, balancing the bark bowl in their jaws. The red male could already feel the splinters stabbing into his mouth, but he kept his incline.
Ky shuffled to the side where the huge male wolf was resting with his mate perched next to him protectively.
Ky noticed her blue eyes and gently placed the bowl next to her, Um...will this do? The bark should hold and we got moss in there to soak up moisture.
His golden eyes looked away from her when he nudged it towards the sick wolf.

What's going on? She looked down at Kit. Fever? How can she get a fever if she fell in the lake? I think she has hypothermia. The only thing I can think of to do for her is to try and warmer her up. An animal that has fallen in the water will die of hypothermia before they will drown. Miranda looked up at her alpha. And you sound like you're getting a cold. I'll see what I can do for that.
(I don't know if you guys know this but a fever is when your core body temp. is too hot. ypothermia is a result of your body temp. being too cold. If Kit fell in a cold lake then she will most likely have hypothermia.)

"No, I'm fine Miranda." The alpha barked insistantly. "Really. Tend to Kit." With that the alpha lifted from the young wolf to give her healer more room to work. Her pelt prickled with agitation and she felt faint.
Was this really worry for Kit or something else. Hadn't Rayne acted sort of this way when she was- No. The alpha shook the thought away. There was no chance of that. She couldn't afford that. Not with all the activity in the pack.
Alpha and Beta wouldn't bless me now.
Another sneeze made the alpha squeak comically. One ear dipped in embarrasment at the immature noise.
"I'm gonna check on Kiba." She mumbled before licking Kit one more time. Her paws led her to Rayne's side. She curled up next to the midnight fur of her friend. Maybe she should tell her of her troubled thoughts and nausia?
Her eyes turned to Kiba who was only half awake. No, she couldn't burden Rayne with more to worry about. That would be unfair. "There's a new wolf in the territory." The alpha barked instead. "He saved Kit from the lake."
