Scarlet and Vikas private convo

Vikas walked slowly so the pup could keep pace with him and sat tall with his tail curled around his leg, dark eyes watching the red female.

Scarlet padded over to Vikas and sat down next to him facing the den.

She looked up at him. First and foremost I wanted to apologize to you Vikas. I was way out of line and I am truly sorry. After talking with my father when he took on his new mate, I realized that blaming you was the wrong thing to do. It was not your fault that my mother and father split. Father shouldn't have been so jealous and insecure. If he had true faith in Mother he would have known there was nothing going on between you two. I am sorry I was rude to you about your pups. She said, her voice going soft at the end. She wrapped her tail around her legs self conciousesly

Vikas nodded and looked at with no malice in his eyes, just understanding, It's all right Scarlet, I hold no grudge. You have a lot of passion in your heart and that is important.

His eyes looked down to her for a moment, Though you weren't completely wrong.

Scarlet tilted her head, her ears perked.

What do you mean? She asked.

[vikas]

He smiled softly, It wasn't my fault your father left and I hadn't said anything to your mother about it, but I do feel for her. I respect everything she is and it is because of that respect that I will give her the distance she needs. It is my wish to defend this pack and heal the cracks within it. If someday she smiles upon me then I will consider it a blessing.

Scarlet smiled and leaned into Vikas like she would an old friend.

Vikas, you're a good male. I hope my mother sees this and makes you her mate. I truly do. I would be honored and proud to call you my adopted father. You're good for this pack and you're good for her.

[vikas]

He smiled at the pup, Are you sure you have only been gone two weeks? You're speaking like it has been two years.

Scarlet snorted.
It's very different up in the north. Dealing with the members in my new pack, I have learned to look at things differently. Talking with my adopted mother's brother.. He's a lot like you. We discussed what happened here before I left and it made me realize how cruel I was to you when you did nothing to wrong me, only help the pack

Vikas dipped down with his tail in the air, So you are telling me there is no pup left within you anymore? Come on now, even us old guys still like to fool around sometimes. I know your sister has been desperately missing you.

Scarlet grinned, baring her freshly set in adult teeth.

There is plenty pup in me, I just knew I was wrong and wanted to rectify it. Oh! Did Mommy tell you yet? I hope not. I went on my first hunt the other day. I caught a fox! She yipped excitedly, bouncing around his feet excitedly.

Where is Black? I want to surprise her.

[vikas]

Vikas wagged his tail, A fox? That is impressive. Last I checked, Black was in the den. She has been kind of reclusive due to a dangerous experience she was in. Just kind of keeping to herself for a while. I bet seeing you would cheer her up. Let's go find out.

Scarlet beamed in happiness.

What happened? She asked as they trotted back towards the others.
