Vikas led the way from the rocky path toward Miranda's herb garden. The summer sun burned high above the pair as they walked. A cool wind brushed through his mahogany fur. It would have been a nice day to walk with his mate or play with the pups. Sad that such a bright day was laced with so much fear.
