Sigurd took the hit, caught completely off guard, but rolled with her momentum and away from the unknown opponent before popping up to his paws. He was instantly a different wolf entirely, his battle instincts overriding him. He was snarling, his growl low and very threatening. His eye shown with murderous intent before he snapped to his senses and realized who it was, stopping his signs of aggression almost as fast as they came on. He sat on his haunches, a smile on his face as his tail wagged. "You got me good for sure." He said, not a single trace of his change left behind.

Revera blinked. One second a monster and the next the male she'd come to know. She was glad she'd been out of reach of his fangs when he decided to go Cujo.
I knew I'd get my sneak attack one way or another. She smirked wagging her tail high above her head with pride. As a pup she could never do that. Her sister had always caught her. It was good to see her skills had sharpened with maturity.

Sigurd walked up to her and licked her muzzle, grinning at her as he did so. "Heh, yes, you got your sneak attack." He said before turning towards the lake, nudging her with his side. "Now shall we go get those pesky vermin out of your fur?"

Oh yes please. She shivered at the thought of creepy crawlies in her red brown pelt. She smiled at Sigurd and nudged him back before crawling past Misty into the lake. It had a colder bite than usual. Maybe Alpha was tired of walking these skies and was letting Beta bring her winter chill. It should almost be time. She thought.
Her eyes flickered to Sigurd still on the bank. He stood there smiling and watching her and she smiled back. Sigurd was a nice wolf. Sweet and protective. He made her laugh and made her happy. She blushed at that last one. Happy? In the middle of a war the alpha could be Happy? It just didn't make sense.
Come on slow poke! The alpha barked swimming farther out so that her paws didn't touch. Get out here.

Sigurd backed up and lunged into the lake like he had before, creating a huge splash as he broke the surface. He swam up next to her. "You summoned?" He grinned as he then looked closely at her. "I think one survived," He said, dunkng her quickly.

Revera didn't have time to puzzle out his meaning before his body came crashing down on hers and forcing her under. She staggered a moment before kicking back up to the surface with a heavy breath.
Ah now I see your plan. She spluttered half laughing half gagging. Lure the alpha out and murder her. Well your not getting away with it!
Before he could say a word she leapt at him. Sending him down for his own dunk in the pool and swimming off just as quickly. She wagged her tail so hard it was actually working to keep her afloat! She waited for him to resurface and barked.
So tell me assassin. Have I won the pact? Have you found that thing worth living for? She didn't know wether she should be more surprised of what she said or the flirty way she said it but either way she yearned to hear the answer.

Rayne sat on the bank of the lake, watching her alpha play with Sigurd. Her heart warmed a bit at the puppy like love she could feel coming off them. She remembered when she and Kiba were like that and if this war ended in their favor, the female made a promise to herself to spend some more time with her mate.
She licked her paws gracefully, keeping an ever present watch on her best friend and this new male making his way into their pack.

Revera's ears swiveled. She suddenly felt like she was being watched and worried what the pack would think of her running around with a male they barely knew.
Sorry, I guess I shouldn't ask that question yet. You probably have a lot to think about. She turned from his unreadable face and looked to the bank. She could see Rayne licking her paw just off the bank.
Saved by the best friend. She thought with relief. Hey Rayne! The alpha barked paddling back to the bank.

She smiled at Revera, but didn't miss the look of disappointment on her face. Whatever she last said to Sigurd, she must not have liked the answer. The beta stood Hey alpha, did I miss anything?

Nothing apparently Revera huphed as she pulled from the water with a shake. absolutly nothing... Oh wait! Yes you did. Your gonna get a kick out of this. Revera shook again before telling Rayne about the blind pup that had fallen in the den and the scraggly male sleeping in the forest.

Rayne felt her hackles raise Was he a black, mangy looking male with a scar on his eye?

Sigurd watched her swim off to Rayne, his speechlessness thankfully aided by her presence. "If only you knew..." He thought to himself as he began to paddle around slowly, thinking hard about if he should let her know about the stirrings of feeling he was beginning to have. Or if he should just take it to his grave.

Yes. Misty said Kit knows him isn't that right. Misty nodded to her alpha then turned back to staring at her paws. (Sorry Misty. I don't know what you'd do)
So you've met him too?

The black female growled He was the one who gave me the warning! I told him to never return to our territory and he doesn't even wait a week before doing so?! And you say he brought a pup with him?

Yes. A little golden one. She said she was blind and ran into a tree. Revera rolled her eyes. So he was the one who gave the warning. Maybe I should have... Revera couldn't continue her train of thought. She would never hurt a pup. It wasn't in her blood and she wasn't about to make it so.
I want him out of the territory but he wouldn't wake up. He was breathing and all but he was just down completely. Revera bent her head to scratch at a flea behind her ear. I guess one really did live. She sighed.
