Sigurd's tail wagged slightly at Revera's squeak, while keeping his face completely devoid of emotion. When Rayne approached him, a grin formed across his lips. "From what Revera informed me of, the King's train by attacking bears. But what I really need to know is how they attack them. If they fight with a full frontal assault, our plan will need more bears than they can handle. If they attack by ambush, then they'll understand just how fierce a bear really can be. Especially because these bears are going to be frenzied by the fresh scent of blood." Sigurd's grin turned devilish.
"There in lies the genius of my plan. We'll need the fastest wolf we have to be coated in the blood of prey, and lead the bears directly into the King's, brushing against as many members as he/she can to spread the scent. The bears will then move off of the runner and onto the other wolves. The runner will have to get out of there as fast as possible and head for the lake to wash the scent from their fur before rejoining the battle."

Rayne thought of the risk and pictured her pups' faces in her mind,I'll do it.

No, Rayne. That's to dangerous for you. Everyone knows Nightshade is the Fastest. Or Misty come to think of it. It should be one of them.
Revera was back in control now. A plan was forming and the alpha side of her had stepped up.

Rayne bristled, she knew the others were faster, but could they walk within the shadows as easily as she could? Were they stealthy enough to sneak upon the enemy without being noticed, lest the entire plan fails before it starts?

"As the creator of this plan, I want the responsibility. Plus, I'm the one with the death wish. It should be up to me to lead the bears into the King's pack. If the King's attack, or should things go wrong, the fate should fall on someone wanting to die." Sigurd said, looking Revera in the eye, his secret shared only with her. He was hoping she would realize just the extent he was willing to go to for her and her pack.

No! Absolutly not. Revera was surprised by her own venum but didn't back down from the bite. Sigurd your blind in one side and big as a tree. Your white as a ghost. What makes you think you would make it out alive? And don't say you want to die. Revera's eyes boared into his own golden orb. She dared him to contradict her.
If it comes down to it I should be the one to go. I'm the smallest in the pack and the quickest not to mention I can disappear right up into a tree if I need to.
But I know your going to say I can't for the same reasons I say you both can't. We need you! The pack needs you both just as much as it needs me. So get it out of your head. Neither of you are going.
If we have to we will hold a race for the Warriors to run and the winner will be the unlucky wolf. But No Beta or Alpha is making this run.

Rayne growled, not at her alpha, but the predicament they were in. All of them had reasons which would make them valuable for the run, but those same reasons made them TOO valuable to lose. She glared at Sigurd Also that death mentality is not helping.

Who am I racing?

No one. She couldn't spare her warriors for a silly race at such a crutial time as this.
We'll put it to a vote. Wolves can have two days to pick the runner and no alpha or beta can enter. Settled?
(Seriously. Poll in the den. We can settle it that way)

Instead of glaring or rearing up for a challenge, his eye glistened with a fondness as he looked at Revera, a smile crossing his lips.
"Alright then. And I didn't mean anything negative about my comments. I don't want to assign someone to such a task without being one to do it myself." He said, looking at Rayne.
Sigurd looked at the assembly. "That sounds like an excellent idea." He asked calmly and respectfully.

Whoever the winner is of this vote, is going to be very unlucky indeed Lykaios said but she had no complaint if she was to be picked

Rayne trusted her alpha, but the gnawing was still playing at her. This plan was crazy enough, she would have to think crazy and accept the results however they may turn out.

Revera nodded, feeling like she'd just given out a vote for death. She didn't want to look at her angry Beta or the white wolf who hadn't turned his gaze from her.
She felt heavy and dizzy, like the world was spinning to quickly. Why did everyone have to be so set on killing themselves lately? Even Rayne had wanted to run. She was the one with the most to loose. Was this what being an alpha was about? Should she be ashamed that she hadn't given a thought to running herself?

Sigurd looked at the assembly of wolves. "Will I be in the vote as well, seeing as I am neither a Beta, nor an Alpha?" He asked seriously.

Rayne shook herself not liking the doom looming all over them These are things to be discussed later. Let's look at this new den shall we?
