Misty skidded her way to the lake laughing as she beat her two new pack mates. Deciding to tease them, she lay down by the esge of the lake and looked relaxed as though she had been there for hours.

(Racing the pair)
Revera pulled up quickly and ducked behind a fallen tree. The others wouldn't see the master of disguise her. She pricked her ears and waited to pounce on the first one to catch up to her.

Sigurd charged right by her, running as fast and hard for the lake as he could, his mind focused only on winning the race. "I have to win this game." He thought, not really understanding why he was so determined.

Beat ya! called Misty seeing Revera duck behind a tree. Oh well....Sig is getting attacked by his female...so i don't think he would mind....thought Misty, cheekily.

Revera watched the two speed past a lot quicker than she'd thought they would. With a swipe of her tail she ducked lower to the ground. Alright, I'll just play hide and seek then.
The alpha eyed a tree branch hanging low and wondered if she could scale it like she could in her younger days. It had been so long since Revera had even thought of trees.

Sigurd stopped when he was almost at the lake. "Hmm... Where did she go?" He said, looking around. He scanned the area ahead of him, but didn't see her in sight. He turned around and went back towards the way they came from, catching her scent near by. "Hmm... Where could she be.." He said, looking around cautiously.

Revera danced in the shadows away from her origional hide out and eyed that tree once more. No wolf ever thought to look up. She smiled and jumped, landing less gracefully than she intended but still scaling rather quickly into the canopy above.
When she was a fair distance from the ground she looked out and watched how the show below would play out.

Misty watched the male search out his beloved Revera. She yawned and stepped into the water enjoying the chill on her prim little paws.

Sigurd moved cautiously back towards the tree she had been hiding about, not knowing of her actions. He sat just below the tree, catching her scent. It was strong, but where could she be?
Sigurd walked around the tree, seeing if she was hiding behind it but found nothing. He growled in frustration before returning to his seat. He started scratching his head with his hind leg as he thought. "Where could she have gone? Its not like she's a squirrel and scampered up the tree or something. Wolves can't climb trees."

Revera held back a giggle as she watched the male pacing back and forth beneath her tree. I can't let him know my little secret She thought wagging her tail and accidentally knocking loose a leaf. She ducked away from the sunny patches of leaves and held her breath.
Please think it's a squirrel, please think its a squirrel...

Sigurd sat puzzled, then furrowed his brow as a leaf fell onto his muzzle. He snorted, blowing it away before looking up into the tree. "If she had managed to get into the tree, I would be astonished." He said out loud before slumping back hard against the trunk of the tree, scratching his back up against it.

Revera sighed with relief at not being caught and moved more carefully until she was in position to catch another branch. She lept landing smoothly as her muscles remembered her puppy days.
Thank you Grandma Athena. The alpha whispered into the wind before dropping down farther away from the white male. She turned and stalked forward keeping the wind in her face and slunk to the other side of the trunk, mischief glittering in her amber eyes.

Sigurd's ears twitched as he heard something rustle up in the trees. He looked up, frowning at seeing nothing, "Probably just a darn squirrel..." He said as he got up and started wandering towards the lake. "I'll wait for her there, I guess."

Revera saw his movement and pounced letting all her weight fall on his back and hopefully throwing him off balance.
Ha gottcha! She barked triumphantly.
