Revera nodded to her beta and swung her tail for Myria to move forward and listen. The alpha knew Sigurd was the best wolf to ask about defends.

Sigurd licked his mate's muzzle. "Security is easy to uphold in the den. Make a statement declaring that anyone who wanders into the den without announcement will be taken as a hostile presence and killed without hesitation. Establish a perimeter reaching down to the foot of the rocky slope up to the cave. We also have at least wolf on watch outside the den's entrance all the time. Rotate him or her every twelve hours. Meaning one wolf on day shift, one at night."
Sigurd stated simply. "That's just a rough means of doing it, anyway."

One of the alphas ears dipped in hesitation. "There's been to much blood shed already. I wont become a murderer but we can hold them hostage and submit them to trial. From there they will be killed or cast out. Sound good Myria?"

"What about recruiting them, if possible? We do need more numbers to combat the Kings." Sigurd stated, looking from Revera to Myria.

"That's a more diplomatic suggestion but they need to prove themselves. I wont have worthless wolves in my pack. " Revera scratched an ear with her back leg before looking around. "But what about the territory itself? I don't want to be boxed in here in case of attack. "

Rayne entered the den, brushing the rain off of her fur, The situation has been dealt with ma'am.

Kit padded in after rain, shivering like jelly from the cold. C-Cold! She thought. She wanted to cuddle with.... Kit shook her head to brush off that thought. She looked around and spotted Shadow with Chase, sleeping or talking, she didn't know. But she wasn't about to interrupt them either. Kit's eyes drooped and dragged her paws to settle down beside Shadow. She then fell on the spot, curled up and fell into a deep sleep.... slightly away from Shadow and Chase, not wanting to soak Shadow. Her gray fur was soaking wet from the rain. She shivered violently and curled up tight, hiding her face in her pelt.

Revera nodded in acknowledgement to Rayne and signaled her to sit with them. Her eyes crossed Kit huddled next to Shadow and Chase. It made her heart ache to see the young wolf without her mother. Damn Misty. the alpha thought. She snapped herself back to the situation at hand. "Your just in time to help us Rayne. I want security increased around the territory. Any ideas?"

Myria settled herself with Rayne, Revera and Sigurd. The beta greeted Rayne, not having seen her since the trial.
Long time no see, Rayne. I hope you've been well, and that training has been fruitful. The grey wolf allowed her eyes to smile at her comrade. Shifting slightly, the beta continued:
I would consider setting up patrols, but that leaves room for wolves to become fatigued, which could cause things to shift away from our favour if we are attacked. Unless we are willing to have short lapses, and rotate wolves frequently...I do, however, agree that we need someone at the den. Amber eyes glanced at her pack mates, wondering if anyone had a better, more secure suggestion.

Rayne eyed Kit sleeping and remembered what they had talked about earlier. She would go beside her in a moment. Turning her gaze back to Revera she cleared her throat, I'm happy we are discussing this. Our security has been lax from the beginning allowing any wolf that feels they have the right to enter our territory without punishment. I'm not suggesting we become the Kings, but there should be some level of respect for a pack's borders.
She sat on her haunches, scratching her torn ear which had begun to itch with its healing, Before I became a mother, I would go on patrols every night. Perhaps it is time to set that up again? Here is my thought, while I agree with the notion of setting up guards, doing them in the immediate area serves no value. If someone has crossed that far into our territory then we have already lost the battle. Why not have two wolves at a time do perimeter walks? One starts at one side, the other going the opposite way, that way they circle each other?

Reveras tail wagged with pride. "Just what I was thinking though my plan was two wolves together in case of attack. We should implement it immediately " The alpha barked. "I want mentors to go with their apprentices. Rayne would you organize the wolves that should go today? Not you and Kit though. There's been enough action there. " plus I want to talk to her. "Myria we had a troop of bears before on the edge of the territory by Mountain valley. I want you to find them and give a full report." The alpha grinned at her betas and nodded for them to be off.

Myria nodded before heeding her alpha's orders and heading towards mountain valley to do some reconnaissance.

Rayne's crystal gaze scanned the den. If it were up to her, she would take on patrol herself, however looking to her pupil, she understood what Revera meant. Her eyes rested on her son whom was impatiently pawing at the ground. Kiba was still at the lake and wouldn't be done meditating for a while, but still....
Call Myria back, have her take Balo and start the sweep.

Revera cocked her head at Raynes strange order but of course she was Balos mother and the poor guy never got to do anything. "Alright." She consented with a rise to her vioce. "Myria please take Balo with you." She smiled to the young black wolf and urged him ahead.

Balo looked up, surprised by the order. He usually kept to himself, quietly trying to train to be as good as his parents one day. The pack very rarely ever seemed to have much use for him and his sister had already been out training.
The growing male approached the den's entrance, his multi-colored eyes flicking to his mom who stared at him with pride, What would you like me to do?
