Sparrow froze finding himself face to face with another Shadow. A larger wolf than the red one that was slipping through his paws. She would tell for sure! Frost was going to roast his hide if she blew their cover. The golden wolf bumped his friends shoulder and motioned to where the little red had been. Then approaching with low tail and ears that he despised so deeply. It was then he noticed the position of her own tail and ears. His eyes lit up at the thought of another omega. A real one.. In his best weak voice the golden wolf bowed and spoke. " Forgive my tresspassing. I am a humble healer and omega come to gather supplies for our desperately injured warrior. I didn't mean to steal.."

Argus noticed his friends bump and spotted a small red wolf slipping away. without a thought he gave a frightened look at the new comer tucked his tail low and shuffled away from them without a word. pretending to be scarred of a wolf half my size? is this what i'm reduced to? glancing back at Sparrow he hoped they made a good choice. sparrow wasn't the strongest fighter but Argus hoped he could out run the shadows Don't get yourself killed brother with that he kept on. eventually he stopped and circled around where he knew Sparrow to be. he kept his nose low searching for the scent of the little red wolf. (transition to lake where Argus finds the scent)

Miranda cocks her head. Is there not any herbs in your territory? She asks.

Sparrow didn't miss a beat. "You may not have noticed but we are on a mountain side. Mountains always block one side of the weather. Where things are warm and sweet here it is chilly and overcast on our side. This makes it difficult to grow herbs and keep supplies replenished. This place was my garden before you all came." He couldnt keep the hint of malace from his voice. Shadow Keepers thought they could keep everything for themselves. Nuka should have squashed them when they had first shown their faces not waited until they had riddled our land with their filthy scent and weak paw steps.

Miranda's mood was unchanging. I didn't realize that this was your garden. Her voice was full of sympathy, she knew what it was like to be run off. She smiles at the golden wolf. Is there anything in particular that you were looking for? Perhaps I can help.

Sparrows ears flicked in surprise. "Honey and cobwebs. That's all I need now." The golden wolf walked forward until.they were nearly nose to nose. How far did this omegas friendliness stretch? He was determined to find out.

Whoa there! Personal space. Miranda steps back. Okay you said Honey and cobwebs? She turns away and starts looking for the cobwebs. I'll tell you right now that you won't find any honey here. The bees have figured out that we like to use it so they moved their hive. She tells him.

Sparrow laughed softly at how easily he threw off the gray female. She had backed just far enough away for Sparrow to get in a killing bite and leave the rats without a healer. He would have too if he wasn't so notoriously horrible at fighting. Most likely he would trip over his own paws. where's Frost when you need her? "No honey huh? To bad I can't steal your sweetness. Aria would benifiet from such a wolf as you. Maybe you would like to meet her?" Perhaps he layer that one on a bit thick but she did seem to be overly friendly. He put on his best smile and wagged his tail happily.

Uh, no thanks. I have my own patients to attend to. May I ask what you need to honey for? I might be able to offer a substitute. Miranda wags her tail back, ignoring the suspicions.

Drat. Shes either smart or lucky. Sparrow surpressed a growl and smiled. "She needs it for breathing. I've been gone a while now. She really needs me back before her throat shuts down." He turned his back on the wolf and made to walk away.

Wait! Miranda turns and digs up a horseradish. She picks it up and drops it at his feet. Try giving her this. It's supposed to help with a stuffy nose but I think that if she ate it that it would help clear her throat. She suddenly remembers the wolf that was ith him. Where did your friend go by the way? She asks cocking her head.

Sparrow grinned broadly and stepped up to accept her gift. Finally! He was close enough now that she couldn't possibly block his blow. The golden wolf closed the space between them in seconds. Her soft fur brushed his mouth before he made to clamp down on her. With one paw raised he shoved her in order to make her loose her balance. The manipulation of her body in contrast to his bite should causd more damage to her throat. He had managed the Assassin's Bite that Frost had taught him so long ago. Not even a seasoned warrior could have escaped his hold from the distance which he had made his attack.. He aimed for the trechia where he planned to hold and bleed the life from her scrawny little neck. Frost would be so proud of him. This was his moment.

Miranda cried out in surprise as she fought despereately to escape from his grip. She couldn't die. Not when her pack needed her most. She had no intentions of going queitly. She made the loudest, ugliest noise she could muster and was thrilled when she found that it echoed through out the territory. The noise was a mixture between a wolf scream and a howl. Someone was bound to hear it.

Sparrow growled as the last of her echoes fled on the wind. Someone must have heard that. Rats sure can squeal. Sparrow felt the fight leaving the she wolf and barely lingered his hold. She was out finally. His teeth disconnected from her pretty fur and he gazed down on his victim. Remorse bit like a flea in his side making his fur prickle. Surely Argus would have the red female. He should leave this one dead and send a message to those fools who thought this land was theirs but... she had been kind. His eyes flashed to the foul smelling plant by his side. She had meant to help even if Sparrow had no idea what to make of her offering. Carefully he gripped it in his jaws and pressed it between her unmoving paws. This wolf would rise again and when she did maybe she wouldn't be enraged. He leaned down and whispered into her ear fur. "Thank you for trying foolish one but don't expect such kindness next time." With a lick of her ear he sped off to the lake. (Transition)

Rayne caught the scent of blood long before she came upon the healer. Her paws carried her swiftly and the scent of Miranda almost overpowered the stench of a rival wolf...almost.
The beta came to a skidding stop when Miranda's body came into sight. Thoughts of death filled her mind until she saw the faint rise and fall of the healer's ribs.
Miranda.....can you hear me? She sniffed the female wolf and noticed the herbs still in her paws. If this was an attack, why would her paws be positioned as such?
The beta wolf snarled and circled looking for any intruders. She wanted desperately to hunt down the scum whom attacked her pack mate. But it was impossible to leave Miranda like this.
Bending down, the larger female started to drag the healer as gently as possible, Healer....indeed.....
