Myria swore she could feel something fall within her. She shoved the feeling away before nodding.
Yes...but we wouldn't have found it if you hadn't brought us the bottom of the falls...this side is inaccessible from the den. It is well hidden though, which is good. Do you need a break? The ledge could prove difficult.

"A break might be nice." He barked feeling his body pop as he slid down to his belly at her paws. The scent of many herbs swirled on the wind. He gazed around and wagged his tail softly. "I think we are next to that herb garden you showed me. It smells beautiful here."

Myria sniffed the wind. Yes...it would seem so. I didn't think we had traveled that far...hm...it's a ways off, but within a reasonable walking distance. It's a shame that the way down wasn't closer to the cave...but at least we have a short-cut that the monsters should have trouble with. she noted as she sat on her haunches.

"I really like that place." He barked remembering her warmth in the sunlight. His blue and green eyes burned softly at the thought. "Funny," He chuckled rolling to his back. "You were the lilac scent all along. You had me so confused." He laughed pawing at the eggshell sky.

Myria glanced at him. Lilacs? What are you talking about? she questioned as she sniffed at her fur. She had always smelled a bit like flowers, mostly because her favourite place as a pup had been the lush flower meadows scattered among the conifer trees of her homeland. She had never realized that her pelt still carried the scent.
I find it hard to pick it out between the smell of pine forest...but I suppose it is there. she murmured.

"That's all I smell when I'm next to you Prim Rose." He barked scratching his back against the lush grass. "A lovely scent." He barked with a yawn and pawed the at Myria's thick fur. "A lovely scent for a lovely wolf on a lovely day."

Myria smiled and leaned her head above Balor's, so their eyes were locked.
Thank you, really. You must be tired; take all the rest you need. Besides, it's quite nice out here...the den was beginning to feel stuffy. she mused as she eventually tore her eyes from his heterochromic ones.

He smiled up at her stunning amber eyes and licked his nose self consciously. He wagged his tail and laid on his side with his injured hip up in the air. "You probably want a break too don't you? The sunlight feels great." He barked pawing the ground beside him in offering for her to lay beside him.

She smiled, and only hesitated for a moment; the grass was too inviting.
I didn't notice how tired I was. she noted as she stretched. The breeze ruffled her fur, and it brought the scents of spring with it; plants would start growing again, and prey would be abundant once more.

The black wolf felt his stomach flutter that she'd actually taken the invitation. Now she was so close. Her soft gray white fur was only inches from his nose. His breath shallowed a little Don't screw this up! He ordered himself as he forced his eyes closed. He didn't want to be caught staring.
The beautiful spring day was all around them. The sun, the scents, the lilacs. Balor smiled and shook his head making the golden chain shimmer. For a moment he thought of the Oak Woods. Zeus's vision. He smirked a little feeling himself falling under the spell of the lilac female. I think I'm getting it, Kit. Just don't let this mess up. Don't let me run her off...

Myria smiled; the sun was warm and the air perfumed with spring. She felt her ears droop, and her eyes eventually closed, despite her best efforts to remain awake. Balor's breathing near her was steady, and she yawned.
Just a short nap...light sleeper... she mumbled before she was lost to her tiredness.

Balor smiled, letting her fall asleep next to him. Her scent made his mouth run dry with longing for the beautiful female. Shyly he settled his head over her soft fluffy neck. His breath just touching her velvet ears. She was so beautiful when she slept, like a perfect smile of snow protected by time.
Why do you bother? Didn't you learn your lesson with Cash, with all the others? You can't be loved Balor of the Black Moon. No one wants you and why would they? You're a failure. A failure to your pack, your father, already a failure here. You think she cares? She likes you? The evil voice that was his own chuckled darkly. Such a fool you are. Give it up you onyx idiot. She's out of your league. Stop hurting yourself.
The black wolf shifted as the dark thoughts stained his otherwise bright eyes. He sensed how it was changing him. It stole the beauty of the moment: The heat from the sun. The scent of her pelt. It was all gone... as he drowned in the prescipiece of the onyx eyes.
"I won't hurt you." He mumbled looking down at his companion. "No matter how you feel about me or what you do, I'm never going to hurt you." He closed his dark eyes and sighed finally letting his racing mind rest.

Myria awoke some time later, feeling content and warm. She blinked her eyes a few times, trying to figure out what had disturbed her otherwise peaceful nap. The wind is gentle, the sun is shining, Balor is resting on me and he smells wonderful-wait, what?!
Molten eyes widened as her ear twitched, feeling the wisp of his warm breath. Myria swallowed, aware that he was being so still that he had to be sleeping. At least I don't feel any danger here...hopefully Miranda can heal him up quickly; he's too restless to stay still for long. she smiled at the thought, feeling her heart lighten with happiness.

Balor yawned and shifted his head deeper into his soft gray pillow. Her scent was peaceful in his nose and her fur so gentle against his face. "So soft..." He mumbled in his sleep.

Myria scrunched her eyes shut, trying to refrain from curling her shoulders into her neck; his breath tickled. It might be time to head back.. we have been gone a while.
